Buckling for sale, and looking for a few does

I have one 3 month old, beautiful 2nd generation black/white Mini Nubian buckling for sale. I had already sold him, but his new owner had health issues and is having to move, so we got him back (along with a couple of bottle calves, a wether and a bunny :)). His dam is PawPawNin Verona and his sire is PawPawNin Junior Mint. He is a very nice typed little guy with great ears. I am still giving him a bottle a day, but he could easily be weaned. $50. If you are interested in him, email me for pictures and more info. NOTE: He is sold! Thank you Kristy!

Not too much to update on. Everyone is doing good!

One more thing though - some friends of ours are getting goats for family milkers for the first time. They are looking for 2 Nubian, Mini Nubian or Nubian/cross does. At least one of them needs to be in milk. They are just for family milkers, so no show wins or fancy pedigrees are needed. If you know of anything that might work for them, please let me know. Thanks!

New Photos

Here are a couple new photos we took of some of our yearling does the other day. They aren't the greatest, as they did not want to look at the camera. But, here they are anyway  - not too bad I guess. I hope to get these plus more up on the website soon... when I have the time!

Good Goats Maple Nut. . .
Good Goats Double Bubble. . .
Urban Acres Blueberry Cream. . .
and, little frumpy-dump Good Goats Amarelli Chicci. . .
Oh, and one that is NOT a yearling. Adams Funny Farm Daisy Mae.... she was in need of a new picture (& no, she is not pregnant).

Everyone is sold! Thank Ya'll!

All the goats that were for sale are sold! We are done with kidding, and probably won't start again till December. I wanted just to say "Thank You" to everyone for giving all of our kids this year wonderful homes! It has been a great first year here in Oklahoma, meeting you all. I hope everyone has success on their goat raising and breeding adventures. Feel free to email or call me anytime you have a question or need help (sf@goodgoats.net - 918-598-4004).

So the final total for the year... here ya' go - 30 kids, kidded out 18 does!
10 Mini Nubian bucklings
12 Mini Nubian doelings
3 Togg/Saanen or other doelings
5 Togg/Saanen & Nubian/Boer bucklings

And, after everything is said and done, we are milking 19 does.

It's getting late and I am very tired from a long day in the car! Good night!

Doelings for sale

Well, I *thought* all of the kids were sold. Someone decided not to get some, so now I have 4 beautiful doelings available. Here are some pictures and information about them. Price is $125 per doeling, but discounts are available. Email me if you are interested!

This is a doeling out of Good Goats Vanilla Cream (Nubian) and PawPawNin Quiet Wyatt. She is a 1st generation doeling. She is very small and very well built. Her only downfall is she has too much control over those ears! When she is relaxed, they go down to her muzzle. Born May 10th. SOLD

This doeling is out of PawPawNin Ditzy Doris (1st gen) x PawPawNin Junior Mint (1st gen). She is 2nd generation. Very colorful. She has wide, thin and long ears. She is very dairy also. Born May 23rd. SOLD

This *adorable* doeling is out of PawPawNin Whitney (1st gen) x PawPawNin Quiet Wyatt (2nd gen). She is a 2nd generation doeling and just as cute as a doll! She is very small (2.9 lbs at birth). Her type is just wonderful though - nice ears, very dairy and put together little body. Plus, she has blue eyes and is colorful. Born June 3rd. SOLD

She is the sister to the above doeling (out of Whitney x Quiet Wyatt). She is not as nice as her sister, as her ears are a lot shorter. She still is a very nice little girl though. She is going to be small (3.6 lbs at birth) and should be a great milker. She has blue eyes and is very colorful also! SOLD

Thanks!

Togg for sale, Weird clumps in milk, etc

Well, just giving a quick update on things. Everyone is doing great.

We do have one goat for sale though - our registered Toggenburg doe. She is very healthy and produces well. She is about 6 years old and just kidded in January, and is a very big doe (popped out big bucklings with no problems). This is my first year milking her, and she has done very well so far. Her udder is very nicely attached and she is easy to milk. We are selling her because she is our only Togg and doesn't fit in with our breeding program (and well, I don't care for her personality either). Email me and we can see what we can work out. SOLD

Something weird did happen last night when I was milking. Doris, who kidded on the 23rd to quads and has been milk *great*, had some very grouse and very weird clumps in one side of her udder. Her udder was not hot and the milk appeared normal (although we just fed it to the cats). I had to pull a couple of them out, since the milk wouldn't come out. They were almost the consistency of cheese. She had no more this morning, so I am assuming just one of those things happened that you can't figure out? Any ideas? Here's a picture (*not for the sensitive!*).

I think that's all for now. Ya'll have a great day!

Whitney kidded & pictures!

After having does kidding for almost 6 months now, we are DONE!! Whitney kidded on Wednesday the 3rd, the last doe of the season! YAY! It was an uneventful birth and a very nice way to finally end kidding season. . . 2 beautiful *tiny* doelings! Both are blue eyed and just adorable! These pictures are not the greatest of them though - they were not cooperating very well ;). The first doeling here was 2 1/2 lbs at birth (my smallest kid yet), and her sister was 3 1/2 lbs. Despite how tiny they are, they drink a whole lot of milk!

Here are some pictures of the "Bigger Small" kids. I just took these today.

Vanilla's doeling, being crazy...
Vanilla's buckling,
Doris' doeling (#2),
Doris' other doeling (#1),
Doris' buckling (the other buckling already went to his new home - thank you!). This handsome guy is still available!

Have a great weekend everyone!

p.s. - with everyone kidded, we are now milking 20 does a day.
