Garden, copper boluses... not much

Well a whole lot has not been going on besides the normal work on the farm. Yesterday I worked in the garden for a bit - weeding most of the time :).
And then I got copper boluses ready and gave the bucks their copper, and trimmed some buck hooves. Within the next couple of days I am going to have to give all the does their copper boluses - not a very fun job ;).

broccoli from the garden,

The past few weeks I've been experimenting with new cheese recipes. I made a mild Feta cheese and Mozzarella and they both turned out great! I'll probably make some more Feta today, and some butter. If anyone wants the recipes, let me know!

Not much else to update on that I can think of at the moment. . .

Have a good day!

Since I'm just learning all things goats...can you just top dress their grain with the copper? If they are big like those for cows...top dressing is the choice. I'm dealing with some mange right now and was looking at how to get some copper into her....where do you get you copper boluses?

We had twin doelings 2 wks ago! But Mama is still having some bloody discharge...not a lot, but I was wondering if I could give her some Shepherds Purse to help her along? Do you have any recommendations for her? Thanks so much. So many questions.

I'm typing a post right now with more copper info.

Congrats on your new doelings! I would not worry about your doe - it is normal for them to have discharge for several weeks after kidding, and about 2 weeks after kidding they will have some bloody discharge. As long as it's not a ton and your doe is acting fine, everything should be OK.
