Purebred Mini Nubian buck & first kids of the year born!

First off, we are now the owners of a Purebred Mini Nubian buckling - Faithful Acres Benjamin!! We are very thankful to Linda Finn of Faithful Acres Farm in Linden, TN for this beautiful future herdsire! Benjamin is a very nice buckling... everything you could ask for in a Purebred Mini Nubian! Thank you, Linda! I will hopefully get some better pictures taken of him soon.

Also, the first kids of kidding season have been born! PawPawNin Maglio Tartuffini (we call her "Maggie") kidded on the evening of Tuesday, December 16th to adorable, tiny little buckling/doeling twins. They are both so small - about 3 lbs each :)! They are very colorful and so far look like some nice F2's! Pictures will be up hopefully tomorrow, if I have the time.

Goodnight!

Diamond M Livestock

Oh, one more thing ;). I am doing my cousin's website - Diamond M Livestock. Just started with it, check it out - www.diamondmlivestock.net

Down Syndrome book published!

Hello,

My older sister and mom have been righting a book about Down Syndrome for probably over a year now. There were some complications in getting it published, and with the move, finishing it was set back some. So it is very exciting to finally have it published and done! It has a wealth of information in it about Down Syndrome, and many parents of children with DS wish they could have had a book like this when their child was born. So, if you know of anyone that could benefit from this, here is the link,

Incase you do not know, my youngest brother has Down Syndrome. He is such a blessing and is a big joy in our lives!

Here are a few pictures. Euchalata (aka, "Eucha"), one of our llamas, is the one with the halter one. The other one is Ranger. And is just the wild ranging guardian, LOL. And the kid is one of our F1 Mini Nubian doelings from this February, Good Goats Lotsa Dots.

So, I have not posted in a while now. There are 14 does bred, the first ones are due December 22nd and 23rd, and the last one due so far is due March 24th. There are still 8 dairy does left to breed. . . so next year I'll be milking probably 22 does! We have 2 milk stands right now, but are (Lord willing), going to make a milk room. The room is already built, but we have to cement the floor and we are going to build a 6 doe metal milking stand. When that is all done, I'll be sure to post pictures for ya'll! We have to have it done before December ;).

We're in Oklahoma now!!

We are now in Oklahoma! We moved and got here in early July. We have been here for about 2 months now. I just have not had the time to post until now. But anyway, we are here and like it so much! It is very green and beautiful - just the perfect amount of pasture and forest for the goats. We have 44 acres here. Here are a few pictures - more later!

no goats for sale, anymore

We've got no more goats available for sale at this time. Most likely, we won't have any more goats for sale until the does start kidding again.

Lots going on. . . done with kidding! Yay!

Wow, I haven't been able to post for a while now! Still, I haven't gotten the new pictures of the bucks on the website :). We are done with kidding, yay! Just in time to start getting ready to move!

On June 4th, Hug kidded to one big buckling. She was accidentally bred by a Boer buck, thankfully she went a few days early. The kid was in a bad position (and big!) and therefore made it a pretty difficult kidding, but Hug and the soon-to-be wether, named Rustler, are doing wonderful. Pictures will be up on the website soon, Lord willing.

More later. . .

Website updates

Hello! I have been updating the website. There are updates on the "Boer Doe" page and on the "Bucks" page. We took new pictures of Quiet Wyatt and Junior Mint, our 2 yr old Mini Nubian bucks, this morning. So I hope to get those up when I can in the next few days. In the meantime, check out the other updates!

Moving to Oklahoma

We decided some months ago to move out of California. There are a variety of reason as to why. We have decided to move to Oklahoma at the end of August. We have several Mini Nubian bucklings that are for sale that are adorable. These little guys would add color and pizazz into any herd. Since we will be in CA a few more months, contact us for pictures of what we have available.

This year we have had 24 kids born. Two of those were Boers, the rest are Mini Nubians. I have really like all the kids this year - they have been turning out really nice and are very colorful, plus all the does are milking like pros. There are still 2, possibly 3, more does due to kid within the next month or so. Here is a doeling born this year (still learning how to use this blogger!).

Hello!

Hello! I just set up this blog. We raise Mini Nubians in Southern California for milking purposes. You can see our goats at www.goodgoats.net
